Find out more

In Tourves, at the foot of the Sainte-Baume mountain range in the Var, time seems to have come to a standstill. Here, in the heart of inland Provence, time holds no sway, and all that remains isthe present moment.

The Blacailloux wine estate is offering four Provençal estates for rent. At an elevation of 400 meters, nestled between the Sainte-Baume Mountains and Mount Aurélien, you can savor your Provençal getaway far from the hustle and bustle: here, luxury begins with silence and space.

Your villa rental in Provence is nestled among vineyards, olive trees, and holm oaks, in the inland region of Provence, which has been preserved by the Chamoin family for four generations.

Welcome to Blacailloux.

Rent a Private Country House in Provence

Wild elegance is revealed in the natural world around you. Your stay unfolds in the heart of 600 hectares of lush greenery, in the Sainte-Baume Regional Nature Park.

Here, Provençal nature has reclaimed its place: holm oaks, Aleppo pines, arbutus trees, and junipers. Fifty beehives stand guard over the flower-filled fallow fields and lavender fields. Roe deer, hares, wild boars, and occasionally a fox roam the land as its masters. At night, the cool air descends from the mountains. The world fades away.

When you choose Blacailloux, you’re renting an entire home—far more than just a hotel room: a pool, a garden, a private terrace, and a view of the mountains all to yourselves, without running into anyone else.

Understated luxury is evident in the details: country houses restored to preserve their Provençal character, a wood-metal-stone trio, hotel-quality bedding, and embroidered linens. Understated elegance, elevated to perfection.

Four homes await you, each with its own unique character:

01

La Bastide de la Julienne, nestled among garrigue and century-old oak trees: 7 suites for 14 guests, a 100 m² secure swimming pool.

02

Le Bastidon, a retreat like no other: a getaway for two nestled among vineyards and olive groves, with a terrace overlooking the vineyard.

03

La Bergerie d’Aquino, at the end of the path: 5 suites for 10 to 12 guests, with a view of the woods and a 50 m² fenced-in pool.

04

Le Hameau de Fontfresque, the wellness area: 7 suites, an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and a sauna.

Four Generations Dedicated to Provence

A family-owned winery dedicated to winemaking in Provence

Your villa rental in Provence is rooted in family history. In 1917, Marguerite Barbaroux planted the first vines; today, her great-granddaughters—Valentine de Lasteyrie, Marine, and Florentine—carry on the legacy with a twofold commitment: to preserve the estate’s biodiversity and to support women’s roles in the wine industry. Blacailloux aims to become a positive-impact vineyard by 2030.

Beyond the villa: Experience the entire estate

Wine Tourism, Weddings, and Seminars in Provence

Renting a villa in Provence at Blacailloux also offers a taste of estate life, centered around wine, fine dining, and special occasions. La Table de Blacailloux blends seamlessly with the landscape: a dining table overlooking the vineyards. The menu is curated by Michelin-starred chef Ludovic Turac and updated every five weeks to reflect the seasonal harvests. Here, all ingredients come from within a 30-kilometer radius: vegetables from neighboring farmers, poultry from the Ferme des Galinettes, pork from the Ferme de Manon, and olive oil and honey produced on the estate.

The estate extends beyond the villa as well:

  • The winery is opening its doors for a tasting of Provence wines—from Joio to Miraia and Aquino—all of which are certified organic.
  • Wine tourism experiences invite you to enjoy an extraordinary day at Blacailloux: beekeeping workshops, bike tours with wine tastings, and unique dinners in the wine cellars.
  • For special occasions, the estate is the perfect venue for your wedding in the heart of the vineyards.
  • For businesses, a corporate seminar at Blacailloux brings your teams together in a unique setting that’s perfect for both work and relaxation—just as Land Rover, Crédit Agricole, and Aspen Pharma have done.
