There are wines meant simply for quenching thirst, and then there are those that invite you to pause. Miraia belongs to this latter category. It represents the estate’s alternative voice—one that speaks to those who seek precision, balance, and a certain restraint. Here, the aim is not flashy brilliance, but the filtered light of late afternoon over the Sainte-Baume.
This cuvée is born from a rigorous selection of the estate’s most expressive vineyard plots. Perched at altitudes of 350 to 400 meters, these vines capture the light while remaining resilient against the heat. The clay-limestone soil—distinctively marked by bauxite—does the rest, imparting the tension and finesse that are the signature of Blacailloux.
In the glass, Miraia moves beyond mere immediate pleasure to become a true companion to fine dining. Whether red, white, or rosé, the wine reveals greater length and delicacy. This range is crafted to complement a dish—to bring out its qualities rather than overpower it. The aging process—whether in barrels for the whites and reds or on fine lees for the rosé—is always handled with a light touch. The goal is to build depth, grain, and texture without ever masking the fruit’s innate freshness.
