At the foot of the Sainte-Baume Massif, on the Var wine route at an altitude of 400 metres, the Blacailloux estate creates its wine tourism packages in Provence: nights in a bastide, guided tastings, vineyard workshops, and Provençal dining. Across 500 preserved hectares, away from the tourist circuits, you live in the vineyard rather than simply visiting it.
Since 1917, four generations of the Chamoin family have cultivated elegance in its wild state. Welcome to Blacailloux.
- Three pleasures, one estate -
Our offer is based on three complementary pillars assembled à la carte: nights in a bastide, wine tourism experiences in the heart of the vineyards, and Provençal dining by Michelin-starred chef Ludovic Turac. You stay in a private bastide. Our dedicated customer service orchestrates cellar visits, walks, and oenology workshops from 9 AM to 5 PM.

At Blacailloux, wine tourism in Provence appeals to various profiles. Enthusiasts come to taste the Aquino, Miraia, Joio, Saint-Probace, Sœurs, and Heritage cuvées on-site. Couples prefer the intimacy of the Bastidon, set alone between vines and olive trees. Families and groups of friends privatise the Bastide de la Julienne, the Bergerie d’Aquino, or the Hameau de Fontfresque, accommodating up to 14 travellers. Our international clientele, whether French, American, or British, chooses our estate for a preserved inland Provence.
- From the first wish to the last glass -

In practice, wine tourism stays at Blacailloux in Provence last two to three nights on average — long enough to enjoy a tasting, a walk through the vines and garrigue, and then dinner beneath the olive trees. Refreshed every five weeks, our restaurant menu, created by Ludovic Turac, showcases produce grown within 30 kilometres of the estate, brought to life by the Domaine’s food and wine pairings. The estate is 45 minutes from Marseille and Toulon, and 30 minutes from Aix. Discover our bastides La Table de Blacailloux
Our legitimacy is built on our family vineyard work since 1917.
Great-granddaughter of the founder Marguerite Barbaroux, Valentine de Lasteyrie watches over Blacailloux today. Along with her sisters, she champions a heartfelt CSR commitment, uniting the cause of women in wine with respect for the land.
Across the 600-hectare property, only 100 hectares are planted with vines, in small plots scattered among woods, olive trees, lavender, and beehives. This mosaic explains the salinity and pure brilliance of our Provence wines — whites, rosés, and reds — crafted in our cellars on bauxite soils, the markers of a unique viticultural territory.
A few concrete benchmarks:
Alcohol abuse is harmful to your health; please drink in moderation.
At Blacailloux, wine tourism unfolds all year round, in step with the rhythm of the vines, offering a sensory discovery of the terroir.
In spring, the April beekeeping workshops open up the estate’s hives, and the launch of the new vintage welcomes enthusiasts to a market of local producers.
From March to September, distinctive dinners can be booked exclusively in the heart of the cellars, for 15 to 30 guests, with a bespoke menu and estate wine pairings.
In May, gastronomic walks cross vineyards, olive groves, and Mediterranean woods, leading to the panoramic rooftop.
Summer marks the Sunset & Braseros, featuring tastings and grilled food against the sunset.
Once or twice a year, a wellness retreat combines yoga, Pilates, spa treatments and tastings for around twenty guests.
All year round, the boutique welcomes visitors by reservation, 6 days a week, for a guided tour and tasting.
