For a vibrant,
Provence

There is a side of Provence that remains quiet. Far from the clichés, it comes alive here, at the foot of Sainte-Baume, where the mistral carves through the air and the night brings the coolness of the mountains. At Blacailloux, we are not the owners of a setting, but the guardians of a living ecosystem.

The Demands of Life and the Regenerative Vision

Our 600-hectare estate is not just a farm—it’s a harmonious coexistence. Here, the vineyards occupy only a part of the landscape, spreading out in small patches amid a living mosaic of woods, clearings, and scrubland. We have always farmed organically, because we believe that the land bears the imprint of those who shape it.

But our ambition goes further: we aim to have a positive impact by 2030 through a regenerative approach. This means, among other things, taking care of our ecosystem so that it will be stronger after we’re gone.

Harnessing Energy, Cultivating the Sun

Managing our resources is a daily practice. Now, the Provençal sun works with us: thanks to our solar panel system installed on the roofs of the winery and our warehouses, we generate a significant portion of our own energy, transforming the light that bathes our vineyards into a clean and sustainable resource. This pursuit of energy self-sufficiency is a concrete step toward our goal of becoming a vineyard with a positive environmental impact. It complements our commitment to energy efficiency, from the widespread use of LEDs to state-of-the-art heat pumps.

The Art of Restoration and Preservation

We chose to renovate rather than build. Each of our country houses has been renovated with respect for its history and Provençal identity. We combine the authenticity of traditional craftsmanship with modern energy efficiency.

Preservation also means managing water with the utmost restraint. From precisely controlled drip irrigation to our natural filtration greenhouse, which treats wastewater from the winery to protect groundwater, every drop is valued. We fight against waste: we eliminate single-use plastic and prioritize reuse, because the best kind of waste is the kind we don’t produce in the first place.

A Commitment to People and the Community

Blacailloux is a story of legacy and resilience. From Marguerite, who planted the first vines in 1917, to her great-granddaughters who carry on the family tradition today, we celebrate the role of women in the world of wine. Through our “Sœurs” cuvée, we take concrete action by donating our profits to various organizations that support women. Our commitment is also rooted in our region. We’re revitalizing the Provence Verte by prioritizing ultra-local partnerships with artisans and producers who share our values of excellence.
